BOBBY BATH
STYLE
Bobby Bath picked up his first guitar at the age of thirteen and hasn't put it down since. Always wanting to take his playing to the next level, Bobby has never been satisfied playing just one style. He has played just about every style of guitar that you can imagine.
Starting with an old acoustic guitar and a few basic lessons Bobby soon progressed to his first Les Paul and started cranking out some blues. Then came the Rock scene of the 70's. the big amps and the classic rock songs. The fusion lead guitar styles, the likes of Jeff Beck, etc. came next. After hearing Duane Allman for the first time, Bobby just had to learn another style, Slide Guitar. Bobby then moved on to learning country telecaster styles. Those double-stops and hugh string bends just blew him away. Then Bobby started listening to his first jazz tunes. This opened up yet another new style of guitar playing. Bobby was soon playing all of the jazz standards, the likes of Jim Hall and Wes Montgomery. Bobby so loved the sound of Wes that he has incorporated Wes' octave style into just about all of his playing styles. In later years Bobby has also come to love the nylon string guitar. The Bossa Nova and Samba styles.
Again Bobby studied untill he got it right. Never one to be satisfied playing just one style Bobby has become one of the most accomplished all around Guitarists on the scene today.
Playing and singing some jazz standards!
Bobby's playing has been described as a blend of many different styles, producing a clean tone and always in the pocket. His playing is smooth.
